Profitual's Startup Ecosystem Social
Join me in reliving the success of a strategically planned startup social event. Our goal was to bring folks from all sides of the startup ecosystem together for a night of networking, food and insights. With six sponsorships secured, a sold-out venue, and over $1,500 raised for female founders, this gathering fostered invaluable connections and gained Profitual 56 new followers.

Daniel Hoyles and I took a trip to Saint John to visit our friends at ConnexionWorks and speak on the topic of Startup Finance to their Business Immigrant Essentials - Fall 2023 Cohort!
Our take-home points included:
1️⃣ The three main statements in accounting are interconnected, serving as the foundation for financial planning, analysis and forecasting.
2️⃣ Financial priorities evolve at different stages of your startup's growth.
3️⃣ Three valuable uses of financial forecasting in startups include planning (FP&A), seeking investment and scaling your business.
After giving some tips on what funders look for in startups, we ended with a tour of how the Profitual platform can help them stay accountable financially and plan for growing their business. It was truly inspiring to meet numerous entrepreneurs from around the world eager to do business here in the Maritimes!
